Some may have seen my previous thread about buying a 318is. Turned out that it was a cat C write off repaired, so I left that. Took a chance and PM'd Bob_S and asked him if he was selling his. Appeared he was willing to sell! It's a 1990 BMW 318is (this ones HPI clear ;) )

Left my house in Dublin at 5am - Me and my mate Ally aka "Cripple" arrive in Chester at 8.20
Image

Just before leaving the sellers house - car was pretty much as described - a refreshing change and got loads of free parts :D
Image

Ally picked up one too, sure why not - lazerblau 91 318is

The interior is like new - no cracks on dashboard, no marks on the seats.

Cheers lads!

Gareth - yeah the reg will change to something like 90-D-57234 (90 for the year, D for Dublin, and the third number is the order in which its registered) - might get german plates made up for it like that though - want something different!

Very happy all in all and it was a great drive home!

Nothing like a jaunt across the country to pick up a nice bit of BMW.

Your mission looks like Highlander, Italian Job, Lord of the Rings and Ronin rolled into one!

Awesome car - hats off you ya's.

Well Irish plates are on. Kinda disapointed with them, the 90 isnt at the same level as the rest. Ah well, it'll do for now.

(bit dirty)

Fitted the new headunit today - it's well fancy, was £350 new or something. Wiring was an ABSOLUTE mess inside there but I worked it out eventually, and its now sporting a new ISO connector with the correct adaptors etc for the stereo.

Cant wait to fit my new components to the front (hopefully tomorrow):

and some infinity speakers into the back :)
Also need to replace the broken Eleccy Aerial - unscrewed the cap and the aerial came out whole..

Lip spoiler met a kerb across the road from my drive. It isnt broken, just a bit scratched. Gonna leave it off for now, as I'd just catch it everywhere!

Casualty of a kerb - its still in tact, its just easier to leave it off - makes driving around alot easier (loads of stupid speedbumps)

A pic from tonight:
