Picked this up last October and it probably deserves it's own thread by now. I bought it with 134k and it's up to 138k without too many issues (apart from that time the centre driveshaft support rubber obliterated itself - brown pants). It has been loyal.

1991 318iS
Sport Cloth seats
LSD
Old Pioneer Speakers (that I think were part of a factory audio package).
Rusty Exhaust
Sik 14inch rimz bruv
100% OEM as far as I can see (apart from missing IS lip)

I also have a service book full of BMW dealer stamps as the first owner has it from new until 2003 I think.

This is me changing the trans mounts for the second time. First ones I put in were 80A Poly but it was like driving around in a washing machine full of marbles so back to some fresh factory ones.

I have an IS Lip ready to install.

Heard some clunking coming from the rear end and noticed the diff mount rubber looked in similar condition to the rubber that came out of the driveshaft support bearing (aka. shit).

So up on stands it went.

Changed the diff oil while I was in there too.

Jacking up a car on a gravel drive is not fun.

Unfortunately I don't take my pictures when I'm working as I tend to get into it and forget.

I have also been blessed with some rusty arches so need to get that fixed before Winter ideally.

The entire rear segment of the exhaust is also pretty far gone at and MOT advisory at the very least. Been thinking about a new one from Jetex maybe.

Aside from that it's not bad

PW me if you want some lightly used Revshift trans mounts

About January time I notice some oil weeping from the valve cover gasket so off that came (with NO stripped threads. I actually couldn't believe my luck as M42 heads are apparently made of butter).

Cam gear teeth look really 'square' on the ends so either been very well looked after or changed at some point.

Nice!

Nothing like getting the little jobs done that make a big difference after!

Looking forward to more updates!

I drive there every day so I'll look out for a 320 Cabbie :thumb:

That 635 also looks very rusty from the back

Not sure what's next for my E30. Probably sorting the exhaust situation!
