Oops, I killed an m20
Moderator: martauto
He's still trying to claim but I've signed the release forms from the police so that the insurance can have the witness statements, if the police released me without charge because of those statements I don't see that he's gunna get the claim, or atleast I hope not. I've had a clean license and record sinse I started driving and intend the keep thatDanThe wrote:How did you get on with the ram raiders insurance?

Been a while since I last posted, had an accident with a bottle of argoshield which I left in the boot resulting in more bodywork, had water leaking into the car and then to top it off the second m20 I converted it too decided it didn't enjoy life anymore. This engine obviously has had valve stem oil seals at some point and he was a lazy ****.
Inside the oil pick up I found these

The very loud knocking that has even done the block as well as everything else

Sooo, sump back on and pull the engine out.

Strip the head and make sure everything ok,

I was collecting bits to build a stroker so luckily had a spare bottom end that I could use and put all new bearings in

Stumbled across this and made a buy

Put it all back together will all new gaskets throughout, started on the key and runs sweet, the only issue was the exhaust which I've made up to fit the new manifold and I have to say it now pulls well and certainly better than it was

Back to collecting parts to build the 2.8, I've now got myself a 2.8 z3 that I'm destroying for parts and even has lsd
