Hi all,
Hope your enjoying the thread, cheers the welding is done m a friend he does a top job!
So we finished off the steering rack, new rubbers, popped it on! all the underneath is sorted.

Had the original callipers refurbed down at Biggred in worcester. Did an awesome job!

Just fit under my new wheels

We figured we would get it on the road and we could drive it to be sprayed! and we can store dry if the weather gets a little crazy!

Along with that we put in a new stereo and I found some better condition original rear seats, BONUS!

So we took out the rear suspension adjuster and tweaked the front an inch, sits nice on the 205 tires we got fitted. Put on all the lights and chrome, and it looks awesome!
We added a little German touch with the yellow full beams

We then had to give it a blast down the road, the exhaust is a little rattly, we think one of the brackets is rubbish, but other than that it feels really connected to the road!

Enjoy! next up MOT
then respray!!

Looks sweet.
A tip regarding the paint tho - don't fanny about, but paint the whole car. The reason? Henna red is a nightmare to match, and whilst it might look okay in the daylight, it will be about 4 different colours under a streetlight.

Nice work, the wheel look really good. The parcel shelf looks smart also, did you re-cover it?
Can't wait to see this come out the spray shop
Keep the pics coming

hi guys, its been a while since ive updated the post. Been caught up in some other projects....Mini and golf mk1. Anyways it took me a while to source a paint shop but found a great local guy that specialises in minis and classics, so sat out a long waiting list and finally got it in.

So we stripped it down and took it over.

Fresh paint to follow, so excited
Cheers

Looking forward to seeing this fresh out the shop!
It's going to be a major difference from how you first picked it up!

Looking very nice there, love a Henna and those wheels work well. Only thing I'd change is painting the sills OEM black, never been keen on colour coded ones.
