Hello friends!
Here is my pride which I have been restoring for the last 2.5 years. I guess I am the only member here from Kazakhstan. During the restoration process some parts were sourced from the UK thanks to the zone. Thank you all for your support and enormous advice in this long journey.

It is running an M42 engine taken from e36 iS coupe. Also powered by 3.91 LSD, e46 steering rack, genuine 16" Alpinas, full OBC, and many other goodies. Oh, recently I installed an M Tech kit sourced from Birmingham.

Pity we didn't get these in the UK!

Is that running an overdrive fifth gear box, or with a direct (1:1) top gear box?

Yes, these 'Design Editions' were available only in the German market AFAIK.

To be honest, I am not very knowledgeable in such details. All I know is that it is running a stock e36 iS gearbox (5 speed).

My mistake. It has the same interior fabric pattern as the Neon Blue and Neon Green cabs in the UK, so I always assumed it was Neon Violet :)

but I really like it! :D (the car, not piss)

Thanks friends.
By the way, I am not showing up very often on the Zone these days because I believe my Touring M Tech project is finished. I don't know what else to do with this car. On the appearance and technical side it is sound. So thought of selling it and buying a freaking M3 e30.

On top of that I recently bought Suzuki Van Van bike and often visit the UK's VanVan forum.
