As said earlier it's had an engine swap so the mileage means the square route of fuck all,

I've got a set of clocks which read 35K, they came from a 325i that was written off when it was only a few years old, I might even put them in my sport just for the hell of it :-)

At the end of the day as long as the car is how you want it then what's it matter about what it says on the clocks??
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
getting oral sex off an ugly person is like rock climbing.....don't look down ;)

All true, I could do the other option... Drop it, big wheels and let it rot and have it for some fun and actually drive it, And find a different genuine e30 example to sit on my drive just for nice days

I would feel a little hard done by but would swallow it soon enough and just carry on enjoying. The cars a beaut.

Unless you really want an all legitimate low mileage car; then you'll be starting again only to be confronted with the same potential problems.

Keep and enjoy it :D
I agree, only the mint low milage cars or cars with 100%full history with servicing from new and every single mot , matter, so many have "a few missing" and said to be around 100k - which after the initial early 90s clock from its original 80-100k, without that full back up and restoring/rebuilds then milage doesn't really mean anything

Its like almost every e30 or engine/gear box for sale from one, is 100k or under :/ , never ever seen a "200k" engine or box for sale.. Yet the sorry breakers they have been removed from would of probably done more

Maybe a 2.0 donk and spaz box would legitimise it a bit?

If you are looking for investment potential, you have picked the wrong car and exhaust

It isn't an investment, it's just nice to know the genuine miles on a car, I know it's irrelevant to some people. I fought tooth and nail last month so stop my insurers catorgorising it a write off over a few bolt on pieces and paint and I won the fight and got repaired. That's why I'm pissed off. Trying save what I thought was a genuine motor with an engine conversion. (Exhaust is tempory fix as it was mega cheap, £30 cheap! until I can afford either genuine or standard looking stainless. But it gets it on the road for now)

As most of you say it is irrelevant after the hard work that's been put into the car and how solid it is underneath

I'm not sure if 'genuine motor' and 'engine conversion' go together in one sentence do they?

The mileage is irrelevant now as most people said, I may as well clock it myself to 10k the shell is good and the engine is good, I may as well enjoy the car now it's finally on the the road (only taken me 9 months to get it on the road due to crank seal and coffin dodgers running into me)

I love the car I just wish it was what I bought 18 month ago not a lie
