i am trying too do my own thing and not copy ,, rusty slammington, the one with the shark teeth is shithot but like i said that is his design ...
im looking for the right grill, something like a charger or something to hide the lights,, the bonet is only open as my mate taking the pics likes it lol..
i want the front lower but what what springs do you suggest,, i was going to wait till i fitted the new motor as there is not anoth room under the sump to go to much lower at the mo..

IMO the ride hight is just right.
I think you might find it gets expensive if you want to lower it further, without it taking its toll on the handling and comfort. I have known cars (my cab for one) that was lowered so much, it was actually dangerous to drive. I could never take my eyes off the road as it would go off line and looking out for potholes was extremely tiring!

Just seen this drive past work (like, literally just this second
)...doesn't actually look that bad in the flesh (through the office window)...despite this not being my thing at all.

You've fluked your way into the mix! (By that I mean you've impressed a tough crowd)
I've always liked the rat look and want to do one too but it would be sold on due to the fact I couldn't insure it and run it easily. And, I'd have a very sore ear from all the shouting from 'er in doors...
Best thing to do with the inside now is take all the seats apart and down to a bare frame. Rust them up and sit on them to drive it too.... Then a nice engine conversion you have an ultimate pile, with some serious go power!
I'll check with the manager

Nice find! Might use it on underside of my car so it matches most of the Chromies on here.

i love the line in the guys advert that says "we provide a rusting service".Gert_8 wrote:You ratting types seen this product...?!

Dont most old cars carry out this service all on their own.

cheers guys,, got the stickers the other day,, nice one,,..
ill be up dating soon, as its of the road for a m52 conversion along with a load of other stuff,, trying to work out a few things now like side exit triple pipes, full cream leather and in the middle of converting a full on old radio in to a ipod dock, would be easyer if i didnt need to pass bloody emisions,, lol
also the conversion is very trying as there is alot involved,, thank god for all the guys on here that have been helping me along,, would of been stuffed with out the zone..
this look can be done on any old car without too much plastic on it but it is hard to get it so it looks natural and the key is doing it quick and get it sealed so you dont end up with a scrapper next time the mot comes around,,

Just use nitromoors to strip the paint (leave it over night and get a scraper on) then let it rust. You can either do it naturally of accelerate the process with a mix of hydrogen peroxide, salt and water. To get it dark brown either rub engine oil in like you are staining wood or use something like Krust rust converter. Did it to the bonnet of an e36 I cruised about it, was novel for a summer

i sanded the rust down slightly and covered the car in rust killer until it turned a purple/black,, washed off and stored inside to fully dry out overnight,, then iv given it 2 coats of ankor wax and let that dry.. i give it a polish with the wax every month,,

it doesn't need it, i polish it with ankor wax every month and that keeps the rust and damp at bay better than paint, lol
