Trying to get my head round starting my next write up but don't know where to start lol !
So as you all know there was two massive shows this weekend which I had planed to get the car ready for, didnt think it would happen but it all came good in the end, was touch & go for a minute even picking the car up from John's (Bespoke Leathering) at 10pm Friday night.
One from Players on Saturday.

And one from DC13 on Sunday.

Full write up will be added in the next week to 10 days but for now here are the two main highlights.
Full engine bay smooth, clean & paint by Rally Prep.

Full interior retrim in cord & vinyl by Bespoke Leathering.

Even though I wasn't sure about doing two shows in one weekend & covering nearly around 550 miles in the e21 in its first real outing it was worth it in the end.
Came in the top 25 on Saturday & 2nd place yesterday in the other Bmw section.

Thanks to everyone that I spoke over the weekend for all your positive comments.
What a great weekend to start off the show season.

So after the e21's success at Players & DC13 someone mentioned that I should also go along to the Prept Showdown at Brands Hatch on Saturday, wasn't going to go but a last minute decision on Thursday evening I thought why not I might as well.
Didn't get many pictures but here are a few I found.

Again didn't expect it but I won this below.

So after a very long drive home Saturday night it was another early morning for the local SouthWest Autosport show which our Bmw group had its own club stand at.
Some pictures from Sunday.

And again didn't expect but came away with this for best paintwork.

And finally I had a bit of a special email sent to me last week, still cant believe it.
Have a read & see what you think.

Thanks mate.Nato_e30 wrote:I hate all this 'dub scene' 'stanced', show and shine stuff.... but hats off to you... the first car ive seen rolling on bbs I like, its a stunning motor, a perfect build. Well done woody.

Small update, when I had the interior retrimmed there a few bits that John didn't have time to finish before I needed.
The parcel shelf didnt come back in time from having the embroidery added.
Now back with the Bespoke Leather logo & recovered .

Also had the sun visors recovered to match the rest.

Shelf fitted.

Sun Visors fitted.

Also to finish off the engine bay I wasn't happy with the old brake fluid reservoir bottle so got a nice little cover made up.
Cover fitted.

So this all happened just in time for the weekend trip up to the Retro Rides Gathering show at Prescott Hill, which I have been looking forward to for a while now.
At the hotel the night before with my mates 2002.

A few from the day.

Also on the day I was on the S.O.S (Southern Old Skool) stand & we only went & won best club stand.

So this weekend was a big one for me, last two shows of the year in one trip which all round was a 565 mile journey.
After the last outing to Retro Rides the car wasn't running right at all,so had it checked out & found that I had a valve gone.
The damage.

Also the carb was knackered & kept flooding, so I got a nice brand new Webber replacement fitted, pics to follow as have none at the moment.
Early start 4.30am Saturday morning was the plan so we could get to Rollhard for the 10am opening, got there just before 10 & started to set up in the rain.
All set up.

Great 1st show for the Rollhard boys but I think the weather put a lot of people off even though it did dry out in the afternoon, when I was getting the car ready I had a guy come up to me & asked if I would fancy staying later on for a little photoshoot for the magazine he worked for & of course I really couldn't say no.
A few pics I took while he was shooting away.

So after he had finished we drove back down to the hotel to meet up with Scott (Pea) for the evening ready for the big one on Sunday, another early start at 7am to makesure I get my hanger spot & then start the cleaning all over again.
Set up in the Players hanger.

During the day they said if you have a Meguiar's sticker stuck on your windscreen you had won a prize,so after having a good look around the show I came back to this.

So 3.30 came & the awards were getting handed out I won a top 10 winners medal from the sponsors Meguiars, then they carried on giving out some special awards to the cars of the show & news to me my car got called out again for the G23 Engineering's car of the show, couldnt believe it & was completely shocked.

Still in shock we packed up ready for the long journey home.
Both cars together.

So we headed off on the journey home which was going all well until around 50 miles home I had a puncture on one of the rears, gutted but now the 21 is finally a trailer queen lol !
Being unloaded at 12.30am last night/this morning.

All in all I had a fantastic weekend with good company,2 great shows & lots of amazing cars roll on next year cant wait.

Congratulations, though I'd be wary of placing those trophies on the roof, lest you scratch the paint.
