Good work overall - Brilliantrot? winkeye
yep brilliantrot hopefully have my paint and laquer by the weekend so i can mix it up, i just put some coats of red oxide on them topped with a red

got the car under coated end of last week, so left it for a while and rubbed it down tonight, took out the windsceen and gutter trims, just a final flatten and mask over the whole thing, sort a few chips and finish it up for painting

May I ask, are you painting with a basecoat and laquer on inside and outside of the car?

Superb work on the repairs, but I cant understand why you didnt spend an extra hour tops to remove the last few bits of trim before painting?

the door handles ya mean, i managed to mask them up neat - took just as long im sure!

cars been back together for a good while now just need to finish off arch clips for the kit
Image

currently got engine stripped partially to do water pump, timing belt etc, flushed out top off cam cover and breathers, intet manifolds off to do gaskets and a good clean, so got a pile of service bits on there way and then onto the re-assembly.

got to paint one inner arch yet...half tempted to pull the lot out...hrm

i did it my self! if i payed someone to do what i did i'd be well skint. my costs are just material

Dull question, but how did you clean up the underside before painting? I've bought some wire brush attachments for my drill. Is there an easier method?
