The body is surprisingly good apart from the corners under the windscreen and a small bit in the boot near the battery box! I was amazed it wasn't worse because when I rescued it out of a car graveyard the back foot wells were completely submerged!! The body underneath has been wax oiled at some point so its good! all the gear underneath is completely rotten but it will all be replaced anyway! :D

get all the sound deadening stripped from the floor, you can get rust starting there where its a honeycomb type pattern under there, and the deadedning is cheap to buy more and replace, for the effort your going to you dont want to miss that out

not sure how long its been in orkney but its been off the road for 10years!

Yeah its all coming off then going to a guy to get sand blasted and primed before i weld up any bad bits.

Where do you get new sound deadening from? Is it possible to still get new carpets and headlining from BMW? Im assuming not? Also there was a lot of foam stuff over the floor and behind the dash that was ruined with water and I have no idea where to get new stuff from. Although im a long way away from needing it yet haha!
