busted my 316i sump a couple months ago only lowered 40-50mm caught it on a electric gate spike got it welded and that sorted it

This shit happens man, I don't run a sumpguard because theres no room for one. Just gotta be super careful and observant. Plus every sump you smash gives you 10 scene points

lift the engine... mine was lower than this.. use thick washers to lift the engine. i had some under both the mounting arm and the rubber mount. must of gained 15mm.

doing this made the cross member the first thing that hit rather than the sump... i have a m10 sump with 10mm ally plate welded on the bottom if you want it for a small fee....
