This shit happens man, I don't run a sumpguard because theres no room for one. Just gotta be super careful and observant. Plus every sump you smash gives you 10 scene points :D

lift the engine... mine was lower than this.. use thick washers to lift the engine. i had some under both the mounting arm and the rubber mount. must of gained 15mm.

doing this made the cross member the first thing that hit rather than the sump... i have a m10 sump with 10mm ally plate welded on the bottom if you want it for a small fee....
