id like some comments from you zoners on my first e30!!!!

this is my first time up loading pictures on this website so i might have made a mistake but if it has worked id appreciate some comments on my 316i good or bad.
as some of you might have read iv put a hole in my sump at the minute but i do have a few plans for this such as 1.9is engine respray mtech 2 kit etc etc. but do you lot think its worth it???

Whats the 1.9 from you mentioned? If your going to the trouble of a new engine, checked out the engine swap section for some ideas, I know next to nothing on that side but always see people mentioning the M30 engine is good.

As for the plans of a tec 2 kit, you already got the side pods and spoiler so you only need front and back bumper to finish it...

And like rh306 said, some BBS RS's would look stupidly cool on it.

does it need a re spray ? doesnt quite look like it from the pics, has it got the tech 2 door pod bits ? if it had tech 2 bumpers/valances,it would look nice, either get them or like above ditch the rear spoiler for a standard heck spoiler or a tech 1, although i think white is one of if not the the best color for a tech 2 car

the 1.9 engine im thinking of is from the e36 318is. i havnt got a clue how much its gona cost but i will be doing this over a period of time.
well unless i win the lottery tonight of course

its a mad colour! it looks white in photos or at night or in certain lights etc but the colour is baby blue!!! resprayed two years ago.

baby blue , mental ! whats the cars original factory color ? tbh doesnt look right with the tech 2 spoiler and black front lip bit-front end looks too thin, needs and is lip at least on there to help try balance it

im no expert on tech 2, but its the bits on the lower parts of the side panels above the skirts, its a bit of a mish mash, so decide what way to go, if a faster engine is destined and rest is nice-maybe get the rest of the tech 2 kit, ie the bumpers

The door pods are m-tec 2... If you look at pictures of other standard e30's you'll notice that on yours, half way down the door it all steps out... Where as originally it would only have about an inch thick strip all round.

To make it look 'fuller' you need to get the tec 2 front and rear bumpers on it, then the spoiler wont look out of place and the front would also match the side pods.

yep, there are plenty of tech II experts on here... Might be worth taking the pods off to check for corrosion before you go any further, it's a good hiding place for the demon tin worm

rh306 apparently the guy before me sorted out the rust before he resprayed it. only bit of rust i can find is near the toe eye on the back under the rear bimper

Where you located pal as it might help you find some bumpers etc... I got a none geniune kit sitting here but distance is the other thing etc.

im from london.... but my car is in bournemouth at the second with a hole in the sump.
and rh306 i dont wanna start pulling off side skirts just incase i can get them back on!!! or worst case il pull them off and the door is so rusted im left with half a door!!!!

oh i havnt mentioned this yet but theres a 2.5 e30 with a tech2 kit and red leathers in grey sitting on a drive way where i live which looks like it hasnt been touched for years i might give them a knock and see if they wanna sell it! il try take a few sneeky pictures for you e30 experts!
