I wanted that on my chromie in the picture above... Got in contact with dealerplates.com and he emailed me a picture of what they would look like, but I assume they weren't right, but they looked nice. So I went to order them at the advertised price of £25 posted... I sent it as a payment through pal pal and because I didnt do it as a gift an incour the charges he said he wanted more money to cover his chrages though paypal.

Through principle I cancelled my order and had the same plates made up locally, but with the newer style font. Not original but they looked very smart.

Still waiting for the day someone has some Williams of Liverpool plates so I can copy them. :)

Thanks Sam, I have two replacement front seats which I could swap, but they're aren't heated,I only worried at the moment in getting it MOT'd, then sort that after.

Good to see you are enjoying my old car Phil. I was just thinking you will have it ready for the summer having bought it in November, and realised it was Novermber of 2009 I sold it to you - time flies!

Look forward to more updates, this is surprisingly a VERY solid E30 shell so well worth it.

Cheers

well done young Philip. here are my efforts for today (lovely and sunny :) ) on the silver Touring:

Image

the radio kept turning itself on and off, the blower only worked on speed 4, the right centre grille didn't swivel or slide properly,
i kept catching my boots on the broken pedal board, the driver's washer jet didn't work and a couple of the little bulbs didn't work :

rear ashtray, handbrake grip, gaitor and console, front console, glovebox and plastic covers/shields, blower resistor, centre grille and pedal board removed:

Image

Image

Image

some weird mobile phone through the radio type set-up iinm. that can come straight out, along with the 10 metres of wire! :

Image

T-piece non-return valve thingy removed (it was doing the usual squirting water out of the pin hole instead of going to the jets):

Image

and front fogs fitted:

Image

yes, yes, i know. the front panel is straight, so no need to remove, just looking for a decent bonnet if Painterman can't straighten this one out sufficiently to look reasonable enough (you'd be surprised) for my Winter works bus. have ordered a nice front number plate from Peakplates.

then gave her a good hoovering and "Fash-Dash", but ran out of time to do a T-Cut and polish as madam v v v was giving me long lingering looks about her Sunday walk along the beach :teehee:

i wondered why the car seemed to wander a bit when changing lanes, then noticed the N/S/F tyre was in fact an offside (directional) one, so swapped that when i got back home.

a good day methinks :D
