So like everybody on here, I've spent every spare minute in my first week trying to find the decent car under all the dirt and sorting out all the niggly things like the creaky doors, the broken back door central locking and the window dropped in it's runners.

Here's a few pics of my (now cleanish) 1993 316i Lux Touring that was a £350 e-bay find

I've fitted clear front and side indicators, a leather M-Tec gear knob, rear headrests (thanks to the wiki) and although I know it'll divide opinions a satin black grill.

The car's starting to come together quite quickly, but the next job is the cambelt and a full service.

When the piggy bank get a bit more money in it, I'll be shopping for an M-Tec 2 steering wheel, an iS lip spoiler and some decent mats.

Looks like a tidy one mate. fixing them as you go is just part of the fun with these old cars.

Plenty of help on here and most things are easy and diy so plenty of dirty hands and swearing 8)

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

I'm really enjoying bringing my touring back to life and am actually excited about dusting down my toolbox and taking some skin of my knuckles :D
