The one I have in my shed seems to be labelled as "pfebn" (it's a weird font!). Of course it's possible that this one is made by Zender, but it looks nothing like the Zender one on my car.

Gazman for sure mate, you know how much I love your sport, still think it is the bench mark tech1 sport on here love it to bits :D

Kos cheers for finding out for me , I was getting a little worried about the side skirts after some chromie Alpina's were posted up with out them. Also explains why they must have been fitted on due to the cars rebuild in 99

Baz , If you look through the Autocar press pack and the Austrilian press launch of the 2.5 they both have the logo on the cow plough off set to the drivers side and are stripless. If It was right for one like mine to be striped I want it in an authenic colour.

Ziggy , When Alec and Si did that shoot with my Alpina and Si's old sport it said in the artical that it was a zender rear on it.No doubt I am going to be down before the end of the year so try and make sure you got enough time to take a better look. I know Gooner was intresting in it when we meet for one of the Oxford meets and he'd never come across one before. I like it as it's suits the car but I really like the way Alpina's have the standard look on the pre-facelift.

Rav , it's a good job he had to point out every minor detail to me as he didn't has too much hastle with the blending as the car is 100% Polairs Silver. I'll give you a buzz mate and I can come up to Sulihull and prehap drop in on Paul as well why I am up your way.

Everyone else thanks for the nice comments , just glad I've managed to start getting that body work done. Ironically my exhuast has come undone at the centre section now so more farting about!

Looking good Dan. I'd keep the rear valance personally, I think it ties in quite well with the skirts and cow-plough - though I know you are after originality. Speaking of which, it needs some pre-01 typeface plates!

I spotted the stripes on the moredoor 2.7 at the pod - have to say I couldn't see the point really. Otherwise a very nice car though - correct number of doors too!

I forgot to mention I am going to remove the surrounds and have pre 01 plates made up to be like Sytner dealer plates. I just need to find someone who can make them for me.

much better Dan, my thoughts on the skirts are it was a UK/sytners alpina thing

I don't think i've seen a LHD buchloe built car with them fitted, mkaes my 2dr seem like a facelift tech 1 sport!

Then it could also explain why it seemed to be fitted by a badly trained chimp lol.

I know what you mean mate , really close to the tech1 skirts and with the odd bit's like the zender rear I was not 100% if they were ment to be on there.

Good thing was there was no rot under them when he took them off to do the arch work so one less thing to worry about.

Silver ones, very subtle but they are there...my friends car this, very nice!
I have just right clicked and saved that pic. I have zoomed in and looked at it.

I dont see any stripes on it!
This is my car, the silver stripes are indeed very subtle and not really noticeable at a distance. Done by a previous owner, but I like the subtlety of them.

Here is the proof, sorry not the best picture due to a dark garage....

Btw, car is looking a lot better now Dan, keep up the good work :)

alot of alpina's were delivered with factory side and rear skirts from the aerodynamics package because alpina only produced a front spoiler. so they are original on your car and them being put on with the restory in 99 is unlikely while the company that produced the kits (Pfeba) was already done for..
Its not "a car" its a Bimmer
