It's called a "jimmy hill" splitter here in the uk

I am not 100% sure what the correct name for it is. They look the nuts don't they. They are really rare over here so god knows what they would be like to get hold of in the US 8)

It looks great! Definately the best looking lip i have seen for early cars. I have the stock lip on now and a pfeba shark lip that im considering throwing on, but ill be looking to buy a "Jimmy Hill" now. These must be UK only or Europe only, ive never seen it until i joined this forum. Ive been around the scene for a while in the US and have never even seen a picture of one.

Edit. I believe you have a different pre facelift valance than i do,mine is the early one. Is there a version of this lip for the earlier (first) valance?

I was nearly crying when I realised the prop is out on the sines further for the small case diff. Only the rear end is up. Grrr

I had to make a tunnel in the gravel to get the prop off the gearbox. Other than that it flew on.
Drives shafts and rear calipers cleaned up tomorrow and on. Then the lump is coming out!

Glad to here it Gareth. :D

Rear end back together tonight finished apart for Red stuff pads off Keri should be here next couple of days.

M10 out by the weekend fingers crossed winkeye

I have been up to a bit more homo activaty :o: It wasn't quite good enough for coating. The one off the car now will get coated when I find sone trailing arms that are good enough too.

Image

Should do for now. Got the spray booth back into action :D

When the Z3 rack, new bottom arms and trackrods are bolted to that I should be laughing :woohoo:

Easy to drop it out.
Bit harder to put back together Diff is the hardest part but not that bad. Its harder not to scratch any of the new powdercoat.

Alex Mat is fitting the headlining sunday after next and he is bringing some E30M3 rear bench's up for Lee.

I am going to use these so Lee can have my rear to match the seats i sold him. Very cheeply

Maybe get it to the trimmers middle of next week

Getting there now :D

This will look really nice with the hartges on! Centre cap badges haven't faded to that awful yellowy colour either! I've heard that all the cool kids own hartges and have black parcel shelves with blinds :D

Done by the end of the weekend? winkeye

Really taking shape now. Other than the wheels are you planning to do any other cosmetics to the body or are you going the same route as Dan with a sleeper look?

Good luck with the install too btw.
