Just found this thread, you're car looks great, love the colour combo. The silver BBS look the business. It's surprising how high they look when you put on 15" BBS I've just lowered my chromie 40 front 60 rear. heres the before and after, the first pic is lowered 40 at the front.

Looks OK but the later leather gearknobs are nicer to use IMO

Whats on it at the moment ?

Think I had one of those on my first E30 - not bad but a standard leather one would be a nice upgrade. I agree about the M Stripes - you can get away with it on the Tech 1 wheel but thats about it

Maybe on an M car, but on a 316 I don't like it.

I got sick of people asking me if my car was an M3 when it had the Mtech badge on the grille so i took it off. It just doesn't belong...

Same thing applies...

This is what you want Ollie

With the money i've spent on used ones I could have brought a new one.

Still I want to see what an all-in-one is like, and then i'll make my decision on a new one.

M stripe gearknob and a tech 1 steering wheel which you have are a matched pair.

Both were factory options on any E30 so fair game imo especially if you puting 15" BBS on it as well.

I don't like the Mtec stripes on the steering wheel, it's just a Tec1 wheel is the best looking for not alot of cash. :D

Most would say leather but its down to personal taste, after all you have to sit in it.

Thats the thing, I keep UM'ing and AR'ing. I think I prefer leather, but then I think maybe not.....

The main thing I keep thinking is, you could never spec leather and sports seats in my car when it was new, that said you couldn't spec beige country cloth could you.

Leather will probably wear better than cloth TBH and is easier to keep clean too. Just my 2p.

Are you sure Ollie ? I thought BMW's options list simply depended on the size of your bank balance

So whilst its unlikely whoever bought your 316 new would have specified Leather/Sports seats they probably could have done if they wanted to.

I like your leather trim - you will probably struggle to find another beige sports trim thats undamaged - I haven't seen another for sale since I bought mine nearly 2 Years ago

Well its not listed as an option in the 1985 price list from when the car was new, that said you may have been able to spec it as a dealer option.....

The lady that brought my 316 new, didn't spec a single thing apart from a 5 speed box. It was pretty much as povo as possible.

I think I'm going to stick with my leathe rtbh, but I will still have a look see at richy's interior.

Right been busy stripping out the boot to try and find the cause to the lake in my boot wells.

Covered up the bumper mounts, and put talc n powder down to try and find where the water is coming from.

Will see how it goes tonight if it rains, or I will chuck a bucket of water of it.

No, seems to be doing it job fine, keeping the water out.
Also adjusted to boot lid so that when you pop the boot lid you can here the seal seperating from the boot lid.
