looks amazing!!
The alpinas will be nice!SHAZ325iSPORT wrote:cheers guys.
will be changing the wheels pretty soon.
will be putting some 17" genuine Alpinas on.
staggered setup,*j fronts and 9J rears.
bss325i i used the following -
E36 M3 Strut
E36 M3 Evo Hub/Calipers/Discs
E36 M3 Evo Wishbones
E30 M3 Offcentric Lollipop Bushes
E30 Top Mount
E30 Springs
What rear arms are you using? Compact or Z3?
Do they give the same track as the front?
I know they are wider than the standard E30 suff but are thy wider than the hybrid combo of E30/E36 parts Shaz has used?FMH wrote:Nope, rears are 12mm wider.bss325i wrote:

When you using the e30/e36 mix and match parts on the front, it just helps to re-centre the wheel, the track is the same as a normal e30 set up, its not any wider.bss325i wrote:I know they are wider than the standard E30 suff but are thy wider than the hybrid combo of E30/E36 parts Shaz has used?FMH wrote:Nope, rears are 12mm wider.bss325i wrote:

So yes, the rears are still 12mm wider.

Well more of an update, got cracking this afternoon, stripped rest of engine bay, took exhaust off, propshaft and then took the engine and box out.
then stripped the gearbox off to see how bad the clutch was.....
was that bad that on the edges it was crumbling
anyway as you can see from the pics the clutch was pretty bad

well we have been very busy over the weekend with this and this is how it looks now-
i cleaned up the engine bay and started to prepare it for the respray
then obvioulsy sprayed it and left it over night on friday.
then on saturday we had a little running around to do,then when we got to the garage started to strip other pieces of engine, and then bolt it all back up together.
then took manifolds off and heat wrapped them.
took rocker covers off, paint stripped then and painted them aswell
then as you can see we dropped the lump into place.
will finish her off tommorow.
enjoy!
