I know that this might be a bit controversial and the purists might not like it, but this wasnt any special model just a plain boggo 325i touring and tbh im not much of a purist so here she is anyway's

this all started when i bought this a couple of years ago from James at Driftworks

Image

e34 540i V8 goodness 286hp 300lb's, i loved this car it had been polybushed, lowered, uprated brake's, 18x9's, shadowline trim, LSD, and best of all it ran lpg, but i got made redundant and it had to go

i will have another e34 one day pref an m5 as it was THE best car ive owned

after that i had some more honda's (had loads and love 'em) but then we bought this for my missus to use after we got shot of her crappy renault

Image

£900 e30 325i se had loadsa motorsport bits added from the factory, LSD, suspension, had a nice interior added, had a new engine, everything mechanically was pukka, but after a while the shell just fell apart, so i stripped it and the idea was to use the good bits on my new skid car and sell the rest to fund more stuff

here's the current skidder
bought like this supposidly rebuilt head as headgasket went etc etc but poor job carried out as 5 miles down the road it conked out

so the original idea of getting it straight out the door so i could get some seat time went out the window, and a new plan was formed, to use the engine out the red car swap it straight over and then go out and play, but as i dug deeper there was more and more that needed fixing, so basically we ripped the thing apart and started from scratch

at this point id like to say a big thanks to Jimmy @ RPM for sorting out all the uprated gear and putting up with my computer dumbness

so far ive replaced -

Shocks for GAZ adjustable's
Eibach -60mm springs
polybushed throughtout
new front top mounts
E36 cabrio rear top mounts
arb drop links front and back
prop center bearing
e36 steering rack conversion (more lock less turn's)
welded diff
new clutch
new clutch slave and master cylinder
new handbrake cables

now usually id have cleaned everything and painted it blah blah blah, but this car's sole purpose is to be abused ragged and bumped off of cone's etc,
ive got some 16x9 borbets to go on it aswell, there are about 14 spare drifty wheels sat waiting in the wing's

plans for the immediate future are -

get the engine box etc in and running,
seats/harnesses fitted
snap off steering wheel boss and wheel purchased
wheels refurbed and rubber vought
bit of welding done and cage welded in
home made exhaust with rear box removed for dirty straight 6 sound

this year im mainly going to be learning doi ng as many practise days as poss and hopefully getting somewhere, as ive decided i want to complete, when i was yoinger i used to compete in sports etc and really enjoyed it, theres a buzz you get form it, so im going to go for it, get my license maybe end of the year and then next year is more powers which will either be a turbo/3.5 conv/v8 conv/maybe a jap engine we'll see what happens

well there it is more will be added as and when thoughts comments tip's etc all greatly appreciated
cheers
Si.
