What is it with retarded women like you on the zone that don't know the difference between constructive criticism and spam? Was there any need for these posts at all? Was the urge to rush to Barry's rescue that hard to resist?SHAKEELE30 wrote:RR can you not get the hint that whatever you say is not going to be taken into concideration, so why not stop spamming this thread....
the thread was interesting to read, till you started, then it got annoying
What you have done is meaningless spam, what I have said is my opinion.

They share only the badge. And the headrests. And the bolsters. And seat pattern. And overall shape.
A slim athletic type like myself tends to fall out of BMW sport seats and Recaros hold me better during hard driving.Theo325 wrote:I don't get the hype around the Recaros either, I think it's one of those "it's rare so it must be good" situations. They are comfortable, but then so are the BMW sport seats.
The added bonus is they look better and i dam sure wish they wasn't rare so finding parts would be easier!

And very smart I must say!!!
Anyone want to start a book on how long the spoiler stays uncracked? I'm going long on this one. 6 months even with the speedhumps in smallfield!

Adam once again has done a stunning job and as pretty much always, gun finish, no flatting a polishing to get a good finish! I have not met a better painter! For those of you who dont know, Adam my tame painter is the guy who originaly painted my sport and who painted Simon13's 2dr Alpina restoration.

Just a little update, some more parts turned today. A new oil cooler grill for the A/C front valence.

What with the OEM'ness going on i have decided to de-council and revert back to a standard exhaust system. The car currently has a BTB2 six branch, a sebring centre and a scorpion STW rear box. I will be keeping the awesome BTB2 in place but thanks to Si13 and B7 who were breaking a rusty 325i, i now have a 18 month old genuine BMW 3 peice centre and rear so they will be going on for an OEM look to the rear and a sound closer to OEM.
Ordered some new nuts, bolts and olives for the centre to manifold join and also some new shadowline tail pipe trims

A few other bits of new trim, a pair of door handles, lock barrel surronds and the finishers for the front and rear screens, none of which were in really bad condition but fresh new ones will be an improvement.

Last of all a nice new torch key!
Soon the inside of the car will have an "as new" feel to it when the recaros have been retrimmed so a new key is a nice touch.

Hopefully it will be dry/not snowing at some point in the next 10 days so can fit some suff!

I love it. Buying new parts is starting to feel like partaking of crack.
I imagine.

Alas, the weather is against me this week so the A/C retrofit is on hold untill i sort somewhere out to do it. In the meantime i have managed to fit the A/C front valence and Alpina front spoiler which incidently is a b@stard to fit, fibreglass isn't very flexible! I've not yet collected the front bumper and brake ducts from my painter so heres the pics i have so far.

I just ordered a blank key from my dealer. I'll get it cut by my local key cutters.

They're held on with 4x 9mm plastic nuts as there is 4 studded bars in the spoiler moulding.
A Drill is the tool! I wouldn't fit the nuts because when you twat it, and you will at some point it will cause less damage.
The one on my touring is a wrecked after a year, stonechips the lot. Bloody things

Oh Wow.
That is fantastic. This car just gets better and better.
The car has a full tech 2 kit as its a sport but the front spoiler has been replaced with an alpina item and so will the rear spoiler be when it turns up./// KAMI wrote:what is the rear bumper going to be like?
as i thought Alpinas have a tech 2 kit but have a fron Alpina Bumper bit confused?
You could order you alpina like this when new.
