With finally getting some good weather I attacked the car with a cocktail of Zymol auto wash, Mequires smooth surface kit and Canuba wax and I'm very impressed with the results.

Just got to save up enough to get stuck into the mechanicals as the boat anchor is currently treating itself and most the the underside of the car with anti corrosion. :(

Thanks for all the replies fellas. Just wish the engine bay and underneath was as clean :o:

It was sprayed early March and it's the first chance/weather i've had to give it a proper polish (been itching to ever since it came on the road).

It was done on Sunday by hand, i have no fingerprints left. lol. Despite the new paint it still took me around 3.5 hours.

I can't recomend the smooth surface and Canuba combination enough. After claying I used the "cleaner wax" supplied in the kit to remove the residue. At this point the paint started to look clean and smooth but it only started to become really refletive when the Canuba was added.

However one short run has already peppered the front with flies.

Thanks mate, it's getting there slowly. How you getting along?

I'm still in a world of pain with the exhaust at the moment I really wish i'd stuck with genuine. It's cost me £700 to date and it's in a right state.

It is Brilliant red mate but it has a red primer as a base. The sprayer did say it would give it a deeper gloss. The paint makes up for all the other misery i'm going through with it at the mo. :)

Standard suspension mate. I like the stance as they are and i want to keep it a comfortable cruiser, my last car was lowered just 30mm and that broke your back, also with all the trouble i'm having with the exhaust i'm at my whits end with aftermarket parts.

OEM FTW :thumb:

Except the wheels, I wouldn't change them. lol

Mine is high as a truck original! Looks awkward.
I'll have to put on my lowering feathers soon!

EDIT:
