cheers for the comments,as for getting the old sound deadening off "Diddler" it was so far gone it just scraped off with a plastic ice scraper and ended up as powder.Joe I know its not the done thing but I used a can of of spray on GUNK and a wait for it the dreaded jet washer.It started first time after a god soaking.

looks fab, i'am in the middle of doing mine had have been for months

the wax that burns and goes yellow is a nightmare to get off, never buy a white e30
where did you get the sound deadning i need some, i belive ecp sells it but their out of stock at the moment

Alex the sound deadening cost £30.36+vat part number B51.48.1.972.245 that was from Cooper of cobham surrey (BMW).

Looks loads better! Did you literally just spray GUNK all over it and spray it off with the pressure washer? Or did you cover anything up to stop it getting wet?
The new sound deadening makes a massive improvement, need to get some for mine.

Sprayed GUNK all over and jet washed it off,I covered the fuse box up.

lol i just gunked my engine by brush and then went to the jet station to use their pressure washer.........now im fireing on 5 cylinders instead of 6.............hopefully it will be dry by tomorrow lol

still more than me mine runs on 2-3 at idle at the moment
