Why is the battery under the bonnet?

I thought all the 2 doors had the battery in the boot?

£600 seems on the money for a resto project, makes the other C1 for sale at the moment about £1900.00 over priced.... , i have seen the other one in the flesh and as pacerpete has often said " it ain't no prize"
In fairness the other one has Alpina wheels, Alpina steering wheel, a black leather sport interior, an MOT, and you could drive it home!

Are you saying thats worth nothing 8O
OK i see your point i may not have given the other C1 the credit it deserves....

Its worth as much as you could get for all the tasty morsels it can offer up, all the alpina goodies, engine, LSD, exhaust, leather sports seats, etc etc, cause basically the rest of it needs weighing in, blunt but accurate in my opinion, i've seen it close up.....

If however you can get your hands on a decent rust free chromie 2 door shell in allpine white it could live again, then you would have a decent resto project to get your teeth into

Yes. The spec of all base cars used to be converted into alpinas were LSD, Sport seats and colour coded mirrors. Everything else was an option.

Apologies for hi-jacking your thread, didn't mean too.

Back on topic now, any more thoughts about tucking it away for a bit, and work on it bit by bit, these are rare now, you may not get the chance again.....

Travelling in march, she would have to sit around for another 12 months, when i get back i would love a project like this but not right now, she deserves someone to restore her to her former glory
