Yeah you dont see it often do you - its a genuine steering wheel though, of the four? different e30 Alpina wheels ive seen this seems to be the most rare.

Mats are custom jobs!
You decided to post some pics up then?
Yeah, finally worked out how to do it!

Ive thought about front spoiler decals, so i bought a full new set from Sytners...but ive decided i like it as it is for know, at least ive got them as i'll probably change my mind.

History of the car is really special! Ive got everything from original bill of sale which was...£37,500 in 1990! to every service receipt!
The first owner really loved it and spent huge amounts to keep it in top condition. The car spent alot of time at all the top garages in its early years but especially at Griffin motorsport and has Griffin headwork and bespoke cam, and i also recently learned it has a complete Griffin exhaust system inc manifold, which replaced the Alpina one which the owner at the time wasn't to fond of!

Griffen motorsport were heroic :)

What the spec on the cam then? Does it have a griffen ECU aswell then or did they remap the pina one? by the shot you took of the engine bay it looked like an alpina manifold

37k?! what it got a rocket in the sparewheel well

Nope its not an alpina manifold/system, Sebring for Griffin going by the paperwork?

Cant remember the spec of the cam or the headwork, only really had chance to glance at the masses of paperwork and written notes since ive had it - there is a note from the owner at the time, talking to Griffin via fax about BHP figures around the 225BHP mark if he went ahead with the work though - prob not realistic!?

Yeah pricey wasn't it!, it was ordered with everything you could think of though, e.g... it was ordered originally from BMW with 16" BBS RS 3 peice split rims with colour coded black centres they cam in at over £3k!
Also extras like a 4.1 Alpina diff - which ive never heard off? so the extras soon mounted up on top of the already hefty price tag of a well specced SE with £8.5k C2 work.

4.1 diff was an option i've got a data sheet with 1 of my cars and it's listed. If it's still fitted the car must fly

Griffen where serious tuners and i wouldn't doubt their bhp claims. It's more difficult to tell with a slush box as it can hide/sap a bit of power. But really your car should bloody fly with that power and a 4.1.

Must be screaming high revs on the motorway. prob around 3.5k in top @70?

Wheres the BBS gone then? strange don't you think C2 with splits? Very tasty rimage though. Mind you the Germans are partial to this sort of thing also!

Sebring never made a RHD manifold i've e-mailed them in past, so it must of been a custom one for the griffen cars. Sebring are no mickey mouse firm either!

Bit of an update”¦”¦
I wasn’t happy with some of the paint/panels on the car, so I called upon Beardymats services. He’s worked on three of my cars up to now”¦so I know the quality of his work!

Work included:
New bonnet ”“ with new insulation
New Bootlid
Front and rear Alpina spoilers striped and re-painted
New front valance ”“ old one had taken a battering over the years being attached to that low Alpina spoiler”¦. and was badly bent out of shape.
New lower rear valance
Whole new battery tray
New bumper strip inserts

Image
Image

Manage to salvage the Alpina tyre pressure sticker
and Alpina spare wheel warning sticker”¦. albeit
with a few creases. These where unusually located in the original boot”¦.now in the more common door pillar position.

Image

Also added a brand new,
correct facelift Alpina 3 spoke wheel ”¦..
Image
Image

And in the meantime ive also replaced the full exhaust system. The Griffin 6 branch and Sebring system had started to blow. BTB2 six branch manifold
