Hello, welcome here! Nice to meet someone from the States :D

Btw, you have their a very very clean, and beautiful E30! :o I'm a little bit jalous!

But one thing bothers me.. That's your kilometrik (or how do you spell that in English? :o: )

Keep the car in the year 1984, that will make him that special! :D

(but it's your car ;))

You'll need rust to make it proper Euro-spec...

the main difference between what you have there and a euro spec car is really the headlights and bumpers.

to improve the look of the car you can puncture the oilshocks thet hold the aluminium (aluminum round your area!) part of the bumper out, the shocks are visible from under the bumper but they are pressurised so wear goggles!! (a 5mph US crash requirement is no deformation). once the oil is released you simply drive it up to a wall and slowly into the wall and the aliminium part will retreat into the rubber surround-hey presto a free better looking car!!

failing that try a google search for R3V and there is a good (well not as good as the zone winkeye ) US Califonria based website, they have a good tech article on how to fit the euro bumpers on a Us spec car.

and welcome to the zone!!

 welcome looks great  wish we had a climate that keeps the cars in that condition

btw why do the american e30's have HUGE bumpers, i thought it might be because of the laws over there but people put european ones on so .... ???

is it to fight off bigger cars winkeye

yah man trust me i have done my research
our bumpers are unattractive and called "diving boards" and were put on because of safety regulations. They must look like that to survive a 5mph crash.

Some day when i can afford it I will definately import some of your euro chrome bumpers. WAY more attractive.

You gotta lose those running boards that act as bumpers!

Otherwise, nice car.
