Some new thingies 11/2009 -->
(post #45 forward)

Image
Hello all!
I though I’ll present my E30 cabrio to you all. It’s originally a normal ”˜87 325 with ~415 000 km on the clock.

I bought the car in 2005 and after that I’ve been building it. I stripped the car completely to bare shell and built it with new or retrimmed parts.
I’ve built almost everything by myself, only painting and interior trimming were made in a special shop.

I got the cabrio finally ready for this summer. It’s my daily driver in the summer, for now it has made ~7000km without any problems.

For future plans I’ve V8 swap coming next winter and some minor adjustments to suspension but nothing radical.

Image

Specifications;
-M30B34 stock
-Sport getrag (from E12 528) with dogleg and 1:1 fifth gear
-2.65 LSD from E34 525tds
-Selfmade coilover setup, Bilstein Sprint shock absorbers
-BBS RS 8,5 + 10x17”a
-Complete, original M-tech2 bodykit
-Smoked lights and indicators all around (MHW, Hella)
-Retrimmed interior (real leather and alcantara)
-M3 instrument cluster and gear knob, Z3M gear stick, M-tech2 steering wheel and rearview mirror
-And lots of minor things..

More pictures can be found here.

Enjoy!

As already said on BF.com, your car is amazing. If only those silver BBS logocaps were gold on black....I think that would look REALLY lush!

Quite simply one of the nicest E30's I have seen. The seats are a work of art. Clearly a lot of hard work.

If it had been anyone else that had said that, i would have condemned
them as criminally insane, but in your case i think you may even improve on an already beautiful work of art.

Still think you are slightly mad though. :)
