Hi guys

My 325i sport is currently on 17" alpina reps and looks spot on being lowered 60 40. I have decided change the alloys for 16" ones and think maybe original alpina's is the way forward. If anyone got some pics of how it might look may help in confirming my decision.

So post up your pictures

Thanks

Cheers fella

I'll be be buying a brand new set. I know they're expensive at bmw but i can get a set 7j front 8j rear with centre caps for just under 1k

Just a quick question how much will the drive improve as compared to replica 17's?

Depends on the rubber you wrap on them.I've got 205/50/16 pirelli's and the rides "comfortable".Not sur on your 17's though, what rubber you got on the wheels?

Cheers guys. Both cars look sexy. Always liked alpina reps looks wise. Just wasn,t sure if the genuine's warrant the huge price tag.

bss325i have you ever ran replica's and if so how do they compare both in terms of drive and looks.

Thanks

The replica's I have in 17's have low profile tyres. Think someone said about the ride being choppy? Well that sounds about right compared to the Alpina's on my convertible.

The ride is much smoother with Alpina's. I think it's because of the profile of the tyres...you can put better tyres on. My convertible hasn't been lowered yet so I feel nothing :?

Alpina's are getting swapped over to my sport next week they deliver the power better so would compliment my Sport.

They both look good it depends on what you're looking to achieve...look or performance. Alpina's do it for me. Replica's are on nearly every E30 these days but still pull it off!

I have left some more pics to help you make your decision:

If i'm totally honest replica's look better in my opinion, but the drive is not great, i prefered the drive with standard bbs's compared to replica's

So what you gonna do pal? I think you're leaning towards the replica's right?

Have you thought about other rims besides the multi-spokes?

I like the BBS style split rims...you can pick them up for an all right price these days (also replica's).

I would never put them dog sh1t wheels on my sport ever but i did buy a 320i touring which had 17" alpina reps on it with 215/40R17's which were horible to drive with.

Needless to say they were replaced with 15" BBS's.
