Need help choosing new colour!

i got my car fully resprayed in dolphin grey about 4months ago.. but some prick has put paint stripper all over it..

now i fancy changing the colour but dont know wot to go for..????

i was thinking of going for the range rover project kahn look.. but not sure what that orange/red sort of colour is called???

Anyway as I tried to post before what are you looking for in a colour? does it have to be a bmw colour? rare? e30 original colour? or you looking for something fast and furious esque!?

about a year ago some tossers threw brake fluid over almost every car down my friends street! Including the ones in peoples driveways! Its a nice road too so lots of new Bm's and Jag's etc. I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would want to do that!

Are you claiming from the insurance for repairs?

Hi guys thanx for your suggestions, yeh that blue does look realy nice, but my bro DJ_B4L already done that colour tho...

i know who done it.. but letting da police deal with it because iv got it on CCTV...
i cant take it through insurance b-coz the cover i got is only third party fire and theft... rahhhhhhh

iv been looking at loads sites today..custom paints, two tone paints but dnt want to do something over the top tho.. lol

yeh iv always been a fan of dolphin grey, thats why my 325i 4door is the same colour..

What about dolphin, but with a hint of olive? Or some olive/green tint in the clearcoat? It's what I wanted to do my merc in. My Dolphin E30 seems to have a green tint on it, I quite like it.

both of my e30's are dolphin grey but the 4door has got a hint of green init.. when the sun is out.. were the convertible is dull grey sort of colour...

stick to grey but a different shade check out the e46 gun metal grey, Steel grey colour code 400, and the 1 series graphite grey

my friend owns a paint shop so i get to look at all the paints in the swatchs (is that rite? the little pic thingys?) there are tons of bmw colours thousands in fact so i'd get searching a colour that way. it doesnt need to be bmw of course but i like mine to be oem. you'd be surprised at the amonut of different colours out there.

but in saying that he must have 100's of of these books for every colour on ever car ever made so i'd make friends with your local spray place and have a chat. failing that you can always come see me in essex.

also for the record i like silver grey mettalic off the e46 i believe its a404 similar to dolphin but it'll stand out next to a standard 325 and you wouldnt need to go to the expense of taking your engine out etc as it'll all most match

After weeks and weeks of decideing what colour 2go for.. iv finally choose estoril blue, went to see the car last night, it was looking really nice.. should be done by tuesday. will post some pics soon..

wassupin ppl.... iv spent over £600 on CCTV system and the respray cost me £1000... and iv found out whos done it.. as i need to recover the money back.. im letting da old bill deal with it..
