thanks. the whole adventure cost exactly £600 as thats all i took.
more money would have just meant more laps as i only did 8.
enough for me as i will be going back.
i took my self off on the sunday after serious playing with porsche's and m3's and a uber fast lap as i was staying all amongst it all and absolutlely flying.
i thought i safer to carry on on the monday and to save more money. it's too addictive.
I'm not sure on date for august. will be a sat,sun,mon type thing as it really worked well. get blown away by locals on sunday. get an almost empty track on monday. we left devon at 2am friday and got back to the uk at 2pm on tueday.
1300 miles there and back. took loads of everything and didn't put a spanner on any of them at all.

jez's touring developed a misfire as soon as we left the ferry in dover. but it cleared shortly and we put it down to a protest at coming back more than a fault of the car.
100 octane v power, autobahns and track abuse. they loved it as much as us..
we left our mark as 2 of the audi owners (we went with the s2forum) are converted to e30's now.
rightly so too i say.
thats why we need more next time.
i've been about it for 7 years till i actually went.
do it. it's good.

nokia n73 in the heater vent. it sits under the wiper so can't see it unless you really look. doesn't come out too bad either.

Hi, a quick question for randomdave325 how did your toyo's stand up to the ring? I'm off in 5 weeks and am wondering whether to take a spare set as I'm running the same tyres. Any ideas of wear and how many laps you did would be much appreciated. Many thanks Alex

hey all. i've done it again. i was working at spa for the Tvr race team at the britcar race (which we won!!)and thought it rude not to go to the ring as it was only 60 miles away.
i took the touring as it's better to sleep in than a 2 dr. in 1300 miles the only incident was the o/s handbrake pin in the drum pulled out just before the karrussel. but once i'd identified it as not life threatening went back on the power!
After a hot pitstop in the carpark and taking all the shoes etc out we drove it home.
i've got to say i was well impressed with it. standard m42, fritz exhaust and a k&n panel filter. loaded with a weeks of luggage and 2 dirty hooligans it did really well. it got a gps speed of 130mph (137 on the speedo) on the autobahn. not bad for a loaded 4 pot.
i've done 11 laps now and it's more addictive than drugs.
roll on the next time as i still have a lap on the ticket!!

P.s the touring uses toyo t1rs too. no problems there. you should be fine
