hi guys

the bristol mini-meet turned out to be a small affair but was great to see some faces behind the names. we met at a dockside cafe for sausage and egg sandwiches and then shot down to cumberland basin for a couple of photos.

was good fun and hopefully the next time we can get more people out.

thanks to bruce for getting the ball rolling!

the place we met at is a bit of a secret in bristol and is used as a coffee break place for the police and others. i had been there 10 mins and 7 police cars turned up for their bacon butties!!!

Haha - i see the police got there early to avoid the queues then!! Took about 20 minutes for me to get my bacon and egg sarnie but worth the wait :thumb:

Nice pics in the end - was wondering how they'd turn out - really must put the cover back over my tow point though!! Now Bruce, where's that shot of Rich sacrificing himself for the perfect camera angle??? :D

Had a great time and was really nice to meet you all.

Rich - many thanks for the sarnie & tea! Above and beyond.... :D

Can't believe I brought my camera but left the batteries in the charger :?

Next time, We'll do it for a bit longer and I'll plan a nice route, a nice pub stop and make a day of it.

I'll upload the pic of Rich perfecting his photography later (phone is on charge atm! )

Loved this photo:

Tom demonstrates the true lengths a pro will go to for a really good picture by making Rich get on the floor to take the shot!

cheers for making me look like a beached whale!!

i ended up on a boat that used to be called "shoots" docked opposite the mardyke on hotwells road (now called "the grain barge" - and i'm glad we weren't meeting after as i am sunburnt to f*ck! my nose looks like i'm suffering leprosy!!

really good to meet you blokes and i think we proved it was quality rather than quantity that won the day... well, that's what i tell my missus!!

Seems there's quite a few people from Bristol that missed this meet! Maybe we should get a couple more organised for the summer with a bit more notice :)

I reckon meeting up at the Buttery is a must for a bristol meet - coffee and bacon sarnies all round, then a drive to somewhere picturesque for some photos. Could get about a dozen of us together without too much effort i reckon.

Keep your eyes glued to the Meets section of the forum -- i only actually saw the post about this meet the evening before 8O
