hey all! what a quality day that was then. u took some wicked pics m8. a couple it looks like the rear suspension has collapsed on mine. trying to get power down. lol. was kool to meet everyone. as me and tony were discussing whilst hanging round the top bend. we couldn't think of a better way to spend a Ԛ£25 on a sunday mornin. well other than the Ԛ£30 fuel i used on the track alone. was averaging 7.1 on the obc! definatly worth every penny. we have to do this again. good to see familier faces and meet new ones. the best bit for me was the smiles from the passenger seat i was getting. considering i'd changed the engine and it had only done 12miles when i fired it up that mornin, it it held together well really. bit of an extensive roadtest!
saying that i had a bit of diff issue yesterday.

it did well tho. it was the one off the h26 so was 18yrs old had done 181000 and had a hard life so can't complain really! anyone who went in it round the track will vouch that most of the time it was spinning that both rear wheels were lit! no mean feat for an open diff and a lot of stress going through those 2 planet gears! at least it happened the next day and not on the track! i've put the 320 diff in it to get it mobile again which is 4.10. and thought it was low geared before with the 3.61!!
this is 5th gear which it also pulls away in now quite happily

Image

time for an 3.25 slipper i think!

but overall for my first ever trackday i loved it! what did i learn?
i need to uprate my pads as oe ain't hacking it!
i need to empty my boot!! bootcam would have been interestin but broken
e30 owners are the soundest bunch of people to spend the day with!!
top!!!
loving the pics of my car peeps. i didn't take any so any would be good. , mid corner or whatever would be appreciated! video would be nice. u lot all heard it. i never did! was makin a noise in the car. it any of you had never heard an m50 limiter before. you have now!!

when mark was on board i was doing 25 second laps!! just timed it on the video on grays camera. no sound tho boooooo :D
olly i'm on mission trying to find u a wing. i don't like doing half a job. lol u get drift of the day anyway m8. the accidental full on sideways round that arc near the gate!! quality. must be the tyres!!
breadbin. hope the 2k throttle demon gets sorted soon. v strange
mark. big thanks and buy some front toyos m8. u know it makes sense!
herman. i want your brakes and your diff m8 lol. nice motor
tony i'm at yours typing this so big up ya self!
jon bmw. the 309 did it for me you'll have to rwd it with a turbo next time hey!. i was lovin it and it was frontsliding less than some of the 318's!
ben. some quality 316 action all done with a massive smile. quality. just a shame the track dryed out hey!
martin. good to see you again. welcome to the darkside of kidney developments m8. hope u like it!
ziggy. nice one for maskin the cake cutters m8 and providing some sweet 12v noises. i've still got them on now. looks well pimp! lol
everyone that turned up pat ya selves on the back! we'll have to do this again soon!!!

'kin ell - you killed that diff good and proper!
As one of thos lucky passengers, I can vouch for the work that went into it! My video's got sound... & blimmin good it sounds too

Next time I'll be LSD'd up & with better brakes too... so when's it gonna be? I rekon we should book it up sharpish - be a pain in the ar$e if we find out it gets booked for the whole summer in advance...

& I wanna see some more pics! :D

Bagsy a passenger ride with dave next time :D You just have to put up with me saying stuff like "you mental f**ing c**t, we are never going to get round this corner....s**t"

Pure class about the diff, it was a good job it didn't cop it on the track. That thing must have mental acceleration now, as it was properly short ratio with the lower ratio.

Where's Marks pictures then, is he having problems with his computer still?

I enjoyed rinsing the 309 to be honest, but i would have enjoyed the beemer about 1000 times more. Good old understeer :? NOT
