Hey Zoners

Long-time no post I know but things have been hectic (really busy) on my side, what with my E30 build and work and family and life, etc”¦.

Anyway, enough excuses for now. This past Sunday we tried to do a hook up in Johannesburg SA, sort of a last hook up for 2010 but no very many guys showed up (must have been busy doing Xmas shopping and what not). But those of us that did show up had a blast.

We met up at a filling station and just stood around for about 2 hrs admiring the rides while waiting for late comers.

Afterward we decided to gate-crash the BMW Car Club SA’s hook up at the legendary Kyalami race track, being the black sheep of the bimmer family (E30) anyway”¦ and as always we took some pics as well.

By the way, there was one member that was rebelling on the day and came in a E46 M3 (4 pipe is what we (SA) have pet named it)”¦

It is one schweet looking 4 pipe I must say.

The road looks like the one that goes to Fourways past the prison?

evqii - If you're referring to the pic taken through the back window of the 325is then no that is the road to Hartebeespoort Dam via the tunnel.

@ TPS - We do not get snow over here in SA and rust is around just not as big a problem as it is over there. :)

Had stores in Bethlehem and Harrismith and lived in Ladysmith

Also in the Berg in winter :)

Yeh there is alot of snow in the berg area as you say ivqii but in JHB no sir. Only occational reports of it snowing but the snow melting as it hits the ground. but about 2 years ago it did snow lightly, not like back in 1979.... :P

topless - No he didn't bud, but we are trying to do one last one for 2010. Maybe at The Rock raceway where we'll do a skidpan and maybe 200 m drags just for the hell of it. winkeye

Yeah man, but it's quite popular over here. Most guys seem to be going for the more fuller style wheel.

Personally, I like the mesh style look like the E30 M3 BBS wheel. winkeye
