How not to drive at a trackday
Moderator: martauto
Karan - good answers to the guy! I'm usually fine with these encounters because usually they are just a bit novice, out of their depth or blind to their rear view mirror. However, Mini boy was just plain dangerous. A bit like nickstoner would be if he ever went on track.

That mini driver should have been black flagged ~ and spoken to by the Clerk of Course.
The beginning of that clip was frightening. Clearly the OP had the quicker car. Mr Mini should have backed off and fallen in behind, taken a set into the corner and proceeded as per normal ~ but no. Funny buggers instead. And not so funny.
Overtaking in a corner is a big no no. And he does it twice, once by making a move on the red vehicle (who shows good driving manners by getting out of the way of the OP's car in a timely manner); and then a second time by overtaking on what is effectively the outside as the OP's vehicle took the line into the corner.
Sometimes the "red mist" descends on people when they get on track. Or just sheer, bloody minded ignorance or arrogance. There is no room for any of these things at such events. People can get hurt and cars damaged.
As Mr Mini found out.

got what he deserved.very funny
i'v bin to a good few trackdays on my bikes and let me just say its not just car drivers that do it, although in fairness it tends to be newbs to track days not having an understanding for rules and regs and why there there, don't get me wrong though 'mr mini' was bein an out and out dick and that off should of come alot sooner rather than later. And in fairness to the 'OP'... mate, you were all over him as you well know and at the end of the day..... THE BETTER driver prevailed.... well done... lol...
