Dont know the time but 100% definately was Alex Elliott in the orange DTM car, his driving was out of this world all day. The laps i had with him in the wet were the best of my life and iv been out with him loads of times over the years.

Good pics, now wheres the vids 8)

Did they stop the session for the rain? And did you get passenger rides with everybody or just the Orange DTM?

Love the wheels. Dont suit the car at all, but are authentic race look

However, as I said on BMW Board, had this event been open to non BMW CC members, even for a slightly high price, I would of been there. Shame as its the CC that suffers ultimately. Probably not the smartest of moves to have it on weekday either.

I only got to go out with Alex because i only knew a few people there and i wanted to make sure neil (nelly) got out on track with the other guys i knew.

They stopped the session for standing water but it was wet for the whole afternoon.

A wicked day had by me as well, got to go out with Jodi with the White E36 M3 - great insight into the world of DTM and fully advise ppl to attend the next meet up there.
It was free to get in and you could walk around the garages and chat to the drivers and machanic's who i found suprisingly welcoming and always willing to chat advise.

Thanks for inviting me along Ben, until the next time fella.

Neil.

Great video here : http://www.stevesfiles.com/files/silver ... ision1.avi

The day was quite well subscribed...certainly the Race/advanced and Intermediate sessions were pretty full..The Novice section had spaces, though....
It only costs Ԛ£35 to join the BMWCC for a year...Compared to the Ԛ£245 for driver entry to the trackday, it seems cheap. Especially as you say you would have been there for a slightly higher price...well 15% more IS the cost of membership, so perhaps you should have just joined, done the trackday plus you would then have 12 free magazines and the chance to enter at least 2 more trackday events![/url]

the one with the carbon bonnet wasn't fast...well he was fast(ish) in a straight line, but kept spinning off at the corners!

The Green/Black car was only a class B Kumho one...so however fast you thought it was the DTM cars would be around 10-15secs faster around a lap, given that the DTM cars are producing 320-360bhp (depending if they are 2.3 or 2.5) and the Kumho class B E30 cars produce no more than 250bhp

yep..that's the one...

Martin had his Henna one there, too (his is similar spec to mine only has a stripped and caged interior)...a few garages along with the ETA crowd...

Mark McLennan had his race-prepped CTCC 325i with mechanical injection and slide throttles there, too...putting in some tidy quick laps.

The "Sport" with the wheels that you either love or hate is actually a 320is. The wheels in question are 8x16 compomotive's, i use them on the road and 7.5x15 revolutions on the track. I know that their not to everyones liking but i like to be different. I must admit Rich W, your the only person that's said you don't like them on the car, but each to their own i spose, i love em! :D :D
