if u were to mix equal parts of each, would u get 96?

and would a liter of 95 ruin a tank of 98?

just topped up with the good stuff and remembered i had a drop of 95 in the tank still. so i wondered if it would change the petrolsԚ´ composition.

Think that's how it works yes, did see a big table for various percentages of differing RON and the end results.. can't find it atm but if I do I will stick it up

Just wondering, what year is your car and with what engine? The E30's don't have knock sensors, so using 98 in the late motors is just a waste of money.

As Gromit says unless you are running a modded engine then you might as well stick with 95. It's actually been proven with some unmodded cars you get less performance if you use higher RON petrols than was intended (seen the dyno's to prove it).

Unless an engine has knock sensors, there is no point whatsoever in using fuel with an octane rating higher than what is needed to prevent pinking.

back to the shell then
