Ecu swap and hey presto or replace loom ??

its an ECU and loom/sensor swop, you'll need the intake and injectors, front timing covers, front pulleys and crank sensor off a donor too M8
it can be done, indeed a fellow zoner or two has successfully completed the swop, its whether the work is worth the end result....
hate to say it but.... prolly cheaper in the short term to swop in a complete 2.5 M20 and associated ECU/loom than convert what you have dude.
Not dissing the smaller 6's in any way, but faced with a jetronic 2.0 and the swop its an easy bolt in 50 bhp and would save a lot of hassles.

I have a 320i jetronic
im droping in the 2.5 motronic from my donnor car. (not picked up the donor car yet)
do i need to remove the full loom or will the ECU plug into existing loom??

Full loom swop is required yep, and you need the 2.5 ECU
there are a few pins need swopping on the C101 connector on the bulkhead.

meh, id be as well just stripping the engine bay and painting it then and just transferr everything from the 325i
