id have a check on the wires going to the rear diff sensor........

Mine didn't work for 3 weeks after I bought it, then on the way to taking it to its first MOT it just started working again and it's been fine ever since

Yeah check the wires on the rear diff, if you need to due to corrosion chop out at least 30 cm of wire and replace with new, this should solve th problem, if not it could be dry or cracked solder on the actual speedo itself, take it out of the dash and have a look, Ive heard that a good spray of wd40 will help solve this problem although havnt tried it on mine yet as mine isnt working

I would agree with the above regarding the diff wires. If the wires are ok, you may need a new pulse sensor ( the white plastic part the the wiring connector plugs into ) Just make sure that you get the exact same part, as the wrong one will not work !!
