My '85 320i seems to run fine on unleaded and I'm not sure if its been modified to do so, but due to the year of the car I'm assuming it'd go with LRP 4 star as well, which would you knowing peeps recommend? would I gain anything with LRP?

LRP's dodgy stuff... if you feel you need the additives, use something like Castrol Valvemaster / +, otherwise go for super unleaded. But you don't need to anyway! Unleaded'll be fine. 
E30 in need of wiring loom smoke since April '11...
