Hey guys, Just replaced the head gasket on my 320i m20 and i've drained all the old coolant from the engine, just want to ask if i can just refil the cooling system with new coolant and bleed the system as outlined in the article for renewing engine coolant, even tho i have drained the complete engine of the old coolant?
cheers guys

Just fill the system with coolant diluted to the correct strength, and bleed as described.
Ensure that the car is level or front end up, and monitor the heater output and temperature gauge for a couple minutes or so after you start it, to be certain that the heater is working.

Thanks for the reply brian, The heater has never worked correctly since i've had the car in the respect that there ain't any hot air coming through the vents when i try and turn the heater up just constantly cold air even when the car has been running for awhile, would this cause any problems when i am trying to bleed the cooling system?

It's vice versa, you're having heating problems because of something, which could be badly bled system. When you're done bleeding it remove the top heater hose from the matrix(hoses on the bulkhead) and let some coolant and hopefully air come out, other than that check if the hoses are the right way around-I had both of these problems.
