My touring has M tech suspension with the alloy lower wishbones. They are in need of replacement but the main stealer wants serious money for a new pair. More than Ԛ£500 per pair. Even at C3 they are pricey and sell them for Ԛ£380 / pair
I'm told that I can use the Lemforder steel ones from G+S which are much cheaper but it would be nice to keep the car original
Is there any place that sells them for sensible money or does anyone have a good second hand set for sale?

Alu ones are nice to have dude, but TBH the extra Ԛ£Ã”šÃ‚£ is money better spent elsewhere, the unspung weight penalties will be negligable (sp)
the GSF BQ units are good too, no need to pay the $tealer premium.
Dont forget to upgrade the rear lollipop bushes while its all apart, M3 non offsets for 15" and under , offsets for 16" plus , powerflex also list these bushes and they'll last a looooooooooooooong time

Presumeably it's only one or possibly both of the ball joints that need replacing.
These are available seperately for the steel wishbones and are easy enough to change if you have access to a hydraulic press.
Are the same ball joints used on the aluminium arms, and can they be changed in the same way?
Incidently, I have four tourings, and not an ally control arm amongst them.
