Only way to stop it is take the fuse out.

It starts soon as I go to position 2 without starting the car.

Just like TECH 2 kits on non Sport E30's, it's very annoying.

Any ideas?

If you pull the dash switch, does the wiper still run?

If not, I'd go for a new switch...

Remove the motor, strip it, thoroughly clean it out, reassemble with new grease and re-fit it.
Job's a good 'un.
