Hi

For the past few weeks now a warning light on my dashboard has been coming on, flickering and going off again, has no pattern to it at all! It is the light next the light the comes on when you apply the parking brake. It has a circle and 2 dotted lines curving round the circle. I though that this meant that the brake fluid is too low. I have filled it up but still have the same problem. I unfortunately do not have a manual with the car and my Haynes manual tells me squat! Can anybody shed some light :?

Thanks

Brake pad wear indicator. Your front left brake pads, and the rear right if you have rear discs, have a wear sensor attached to them that turns on this light when the pads are nearly worn out.
Another common cause of this light flickering is a cracked solder joint in the instrument cluster. Do a search for "220 ohm resistor".
