Facelifts usually have a Torx T55 in the bumper. I'm pretty sure it's just 2 bolts.

Mate the thread on those bolts goes on for ages... they are looong. They should turn easy enough once you get going which may be what your getting but eventually they'll drop out. They might be getting stuck on the bumper plastic on the way out. It sometimes happens when the bumper isn't quiet on straight, in which case once lose use a plyers or something to pull them out.

Unless the captive nuts have broken off

Which scrap yard are you at?

Just rip the outer skin of the bumper right off, and then it doesn't take long to hacksaw straight through the beam.
You can then undo the two 13mm bolts that hold each bumper mount to the front of the chassis rails.
