hi can anyone help i took my electric arial off to rust treat the surrounding panel yesterday i thought i would give it a good clean, connected it to a spare batteryand got it to go up but no matter which way iconnect the wires it wont go down the relay seems to be clicking across but nothing happens dont want to put it back on like it is , the louts round here will soon have it off.

If it's wired the same as mine it's got +12v and gnd connected permanently, with another feed from the head unit to tell it to go up or down - +12v on this feed tells it to go up and stay up, and when the voltage is removed it goes down.

it gets earthed throught the bodywork when its bolted in place,as far as i remember!
