Afternoon all

I have a really annoying vibration with my gear lever at certain speeds or revs it really shows up at motorway speeds...

Any ideas as to what the likely cause is ?

It's an M3 just incase that helps...

Thanks

I had the same problem...

Two possible causes:

1. The linkeage bushes (make sure you do them all, including the small foam packing insert)

2. the gearlever plastic collet is broken.

mine does the same.

thought it was the gearbox mounts as one was cracked, changed those and it's no different. :o:

got a feeling the engine mounts are past their best so will be changing those soon, but also fancy a quickshift and gear linkage bush change whilst i'm doing it.

would a past it's best propshaft guibo cause some odd vibrations too?
cheers,

harry

true, but there must be some slop somewhere for a vibration or buzz to turn into a wobble
cheers,
