I have a 320i Auto and i have just dropped the 2.5i in its place.
I obviously need an ECU, but is there a difference between a manual & auto ECU?

Hi mate, all you need to do is put the 2.5 chip in the 320 ecu, it's that simple 
As far as auto is concerned I don't think there is any differance unless you have the switchable box. And even then I don't think it wouls make any differance, I presume you are changing to manual?
