You can use Ford Atlas (Capri) rebuild packs. They're Ԛ£120 and you get 4 plates but you only need 2. If you get your LSD casing machined you can fit all 4 plates and it makes the diff much nicer to use.Gunni wrote:where to locate rebuild parts, how much and such?

It's just a standard ZF LSD unit.do you know how to rebuild the diff? or is it like all other LSDԚ´s
The casing/end plate need machining to allow for the increased length of the cluster with the extra plates. (Approx 50 thou, and a plain washer/spacer discarded.)also how do I have the LSD casing machined
Some 4 plate Atlas kits on the shelf here:Any idea where you can get the plate kits from?

I'm looking at a couple of options at the mo.
One is to make an LSD using the bits from an open diff having made a new carriage, other being to make something which applies pressure to the little gears inside, although that wouldn't provide much of a lock up

Hi
Can you keep us (me!) informed on this conversion mate? I've got an open diff that would be ideal to re-build for the racer into an LSD as a spare.
Cheers
Paul
