Sounds like the spline type.Be worth a phone call to zimmer bimmer(parts man) with your vin number, you never know.Otherwise,I am told that a socket hammered on will work, but you will need to replace the bolts..

Had this problem recently, the type i had made it impossible to get a socket on, so had to hammer a slightly bigger lock nit onto mine and released the bolt. Once the bolt is out you will find a number on it which relates to the lock nut you need, and there are several different ones. You may well have to order a new bolt too as i found icould,nt seperate thr bolt from the lock nut that i hammered on
The dealer may ask for proof of ownership when you order the lock nut. hth.

My local tyre place had a tool to remove them

Had 2 on the rear of my tourer but no means of getting them off

Tyre place had them both of within 10mins(1 was really tight)
