Haha ha.... I can totally relate to that. Not on a BMW, but on my old Escort. I can't remember how many times I removed the crankshaft pulley bolt like thatBrianmoooore wrote:One important thing to add to the link above!

Fortunately it was on open ended spanner. it came out from under the car with one hell of a bang, bounced off the floor and ricoched of the wall of the workshop.
