mirror heating

I only have one mirror heating up anyone come across this or know why this is?

I think they work from heated rear screen button
Never had them before and there is no other buttons
Its ment to have heated locks to but dont know how that can work

Can you get new element for it or is it new mirror

Try them alex put your hand on mirror glass you can feel the heat
i would check that power is getting to the mirror first using a volt meter , also check with zimmerbimmer1 to see what replacement parts are available , be it a new mirror glass or just the element ! briamoore would be another man to ask on here hes a elecy guru! hes got me out of stuck before!! good luck
guys the heated mirrors are nothing to do with heated rear screen. they are on all the time the ignition is on. they run of power from the brown and black wire of the electric mirror motor.

The heated door locks are activated if you hold up the door handle for a few seconds

take the mirror off and test it with a multimeter. across the two pins you should get a resistance, if its open circuit its buggered, new required i believe.corkyandkez wrote:Can you get new element for it or is it new mirror
its almost bound to be open circuit, i have some spares here if you want to purchase any.
